Changing Course Programme
Practical CBT-based workshops for common wellbeing challenges
The Changing Course workshops introduce practical CBT-based strategies to help people better understand and manage common wellbeing challenges.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is based on the close relationship between our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours. It is a practical, active approach that encourages people to become more aware of how these different areas influence one another. By exploring these patterns and trying small, manageable changes between sessions, participants can begin to reduce distress and build healthier ways of responding to challenges. The skills learned can continue to be useful long after the workshops have ended.
Supportive community
At times, change can feel slower or more difficult than expected. This may be because some experiences are influenced by deeper emotional patterns rather than thoughts alone. The workshops provide opportunities to gently explore these emotional influences alongside practical CBT techniques, helping participants develop a broader understanding of themselves and their experiences.

The workshops focus on common experiences that can affect wellbeing. They are not designed to encourage sharing of personal information, instead they help participants to recognise patterns and practise healthier responses.
Our Changing Course programme helps organisations take a proactive approach to employee health by equipping colleagues with knowledge, skills, and practical strategies.
Each topic below can be delivered in 2-hour workshops for groups of up to 6 participants, or 3-hours for over 6. Follow up workshops are recommended to help with embedding the skills learned in the workshops. Workshops can be delivered in-person in your Yorkshire or Lincolnshire workplace or alternative local venue; on-line delivery is also available.
